Hi I have a Hitachi DVD camcorder and I need help. I can not for the life of me connect it to my computer and edit it and do fun things with my recorded videos. Yes, I have formatted the DVD and it makes playing in a DVD player. The camcorder comes with a program and a fun study program. I have installed these, but I can not get it to do something. I have tryed the USB cable to connect up and have also tryed to insert the DVD in my CD-ROM drive. I am completely out of ideas! And yes, I have tried Hitachi support, no luck. Can anyone help? I am in school and working towards my major in film and television. Since you do not tell us your budget, it is rather difficult to understand what "reasonable" means for you. Anime Boston returns in 2010 of 2-4 April and Ubuntu Massachusetts communities The team has some ambitious plans. Last year I went on behalf of the team and dropped from 50 copies of Ubunchu Manga with Jaunty CDs affiliated, and they were all gone before the first few hours after the first day of the convention. It seemed to be the only one on the flyer table that people actually want! The event was fantastic. There were people there from all over the country, even across the world. Over 15,000 people participated and that number has risen from just over 4,000 since its first convention in 2003. For 2010, we will be to reach out to this huge potential user base. While we're at it, we will be creating a new model for Linux groups to raise funds for projects without going through registration as a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit organization, or legally recognized in any way.
Ubuntu is really a perfect candidate for the new operating system choices for all anime lovers and that is exactly what we aim to do so. Is there a more passionate and tight-knit but diverse and open to cultural phenomenon, we could target than the widespread anime fandom? Convention goers are a great audience. They tend to be a little on the geeky side, but still cool course and very receptive to Ubuntu. An OS that is beautiful but still highly customizable, free and open source with an enthusiastically supportive communities that largely reflect their own could not be a better match! With the right planning, together with support from the community and maybe a couple of large dogs, our goal is very achievable.
So what should we do? We can handle this on several levels, starting with the creation of a booth in the dealers room of the convention. From here we can distribute free copies of Ubunchu Manga, Ubuntu Live CD, and materials on FOSS, Ubuntu, and our team. Most importantly, we'll be out there talking and connecting with people and generally just makes a big impression on them. We will also offer live install and do some cool demonstrations, the fundamental things that can be expected. If we get enough resources, a second great opportunity is distributing our materials in Anime Boston registration bags. This would put our materials in the hands of nearly every convention participant. It is expected to be more than 16,000 people!
I could also join a technical staff or volunteer position during the event, so I may be an inside man solve problems and be a computer completely while spreading Ubuntu to anyone who runs Convention. This reflects the increasing tendency for FOSS groups build relationships with non-profit community. Once this infrastructure has been implemented, we can expect to see many more projects of this size and bigger leap up.

If the band you were preoccupied with dirty heads record results in the playback you see, and what already exists tape will not change and future recordings can be fixed. If the band you were registered with a clean criminal minds, but the playback heads are dirty results playback you see, and what already exists on tape will not be changed, and the pure playback heads will no longer send the purple / green stripes. It is possible to use a tape head cleaning tape will not solve this at all ... Shooting home videos of your family is incredibly easy with today's camcorder, but you may find yourself still disappointed with the final film. By following these basic shooting techniques you can make your home movies more enjoyable for the family to see.
1. Ensure proper Light. When shooting indoors, turn on all lights in the room, if possible. This will avoid graininess when the camera tries to brighten up the picture. As a last resort, use an on-camera light, although it will give you a more "deer in the headlights "look in comparison to the natural beauty of several lamps.
When shooting outdoors, keep the sun on your topic, or to the side. This will prevent your subject from squinting in the sunlight, or from having the background too bright.
2. Turn off Auto-iris (exposure), if possible. Iris is what controls the amount of light entering the camera. Normally this is set to automatic, so you do not have to think about it.
But this results in the video image becomes clearer and darkened constant as you pan between subjects, or have your item darkened where you can not see it because you had a bright window behind them. If you have the camera option to use manual exposure, be sure to turn it to manual, so it will be yet.
3. Avoid Zoom. Walk in close (within 5 ft) for your topic whenever possible and avoid zoom, which makes your picture shaking and obscure field of vision around your topic. Plus you continue to lose light as you zoom in.
If you shoot people or children, a close up of them while you are fully zoomed out looks like you are right there beside them, not a distant alien trying to look in. In addition, your sound will be much higher, purer and stronger when you shoot close to your subjects.
4. Frame your About Proper. Now that you have the camera close up to the baby in the walker, now frame the shot where his head is not in the middle of the viewfinder all the time.
Always try to put it back in the head near the edge of the viewfinder. This is a much more pleasant picture to see, instead of having faces pushed up against the edge of the screen.
5. Overshoot, then edit later. You will get far more memorable moments on camera if the camera is actually recording in relation to when it is turned off. So overrun constant, although nothing seems like it happens, because ultimately it will!

I sat and looked at the same camera, when I read the reviews on Circuit City and Best Buy, I leaning towards the JVC High Band Mini DV digital video camera for 189.99 at Circuit City on black friday.The main differences is the JVC uses cartridges and Samsung are using DVDs. Hey, I just bought a new JVC GZ-HD7, and I want to connect it to my computer using a HDMI cable. I bought it brand new cable yesterday, and the computer has the correct port. Ive tried everything I can think of, but my laptop just will not recognize the camera. any tips would be awesome!
