Sound accompanying video has a great influence on the perception of the audience, but when you're shooting a scene, you are a part of this scene. No Talking!
It may seem that the "goes without saying" but ... not talk, laugh or gasp while recording, unless you consciously are commenting on the scene. mouth is two inches from the microphone. Anything you say can and will be used against you. Once you've learned to limit your enthusiasm enough to shoot in silence, you can begin to train yourself to hear sounds underway around you. It's not just enthusiasm, which can draw attention to the camera operator - shuddering sigh of boredom can bring the viewer's attention to a halt especially if it is accompanied by an unexpected camera movement that feels like a huge wave just rolled under the boat.
Hearing your surroundings
If there is a large air conditioner and you have control over it, turn it off. If there is a highway traffic outside the room where you shoot, get a "cutaway" shot by highway, through a window. (A "Cutaway" is a shot of an item that may or may not be a part of the scene, but contains information helpful to the audience). When the audience knows why the sound is there, they will find it less disturbing.
Example:
You can shoot an outdoor wedding and crows suddenly start to make a ruckus. Get a shot of the crows, you will be less inclined to spend hours unsuccessfully trying to remove the screaming of the crows from the "soundtrack" (soundtrack that comes with the video) when you begin editing the ceremony.
Microphones
The "microphone" these instruments can transform sound waves into electrical current, which is built into consumer camcorders are very good for general health. They are very reliable. If you got good picture, you get sound. But they are very limited when it comes to interviews, acting scenes, and important conversation.

Besides the built-in directional microphone (which picks up sound from all directions), you will have two types of extra microphones in your home video arsenal, provided you have purchased a camcorder with a microphone jack. The first and most important is the shotgun. This is a microphone and the cardioid version (with a heart-shaped pickup pattern) is designed to reduce Feedback. This means that the pickup pattern of the MIC will collect it from the camera subject on whom it is pointing, but sounds occurring at a right angle is greatly reduced. This resulting in much higher sound quality.
The second type of microphone is known as a lavaliere (lah Vah laughs), submit it to the speaker's clothing and is perfect for interviews, so have a couple of them is a good idea. The wireless "Lavsen" or "low microphones" is the most useful, but it is important to listen to the occasional radio interference. The Corded type are much cheaper and okay for sit-down interviews.
Headphones:
Now that you have some control over the audio, you will want to "monitor" it with headphones. Any will do, but better, the more useful they will be, and those that block noise coming from places other than the video camera is preferable.
When you are monitoring the sound with a headset, you can listen to air conditioners, dogs barking, radio noise, and all other sounds that distract from the sound recording. It is good to remember that there are at least 2 sound recordists on serious films set (brace person and the actual recordist). A catch-phrase in professional video production says: "If you do not get the sound you do not get the scene."

I bought this unit two weeks ago after extensive research. As a video editor, I think this gadget is right for me.
As a rough Canon FS100 is easy to spend. The basics are simple enough for beginners, as well as the more advanced features are not hard to understand when you know what you're looking for.

- The software comes with is pretty useless. So if you are serious about mounting video, you just buy something else. Keeping this in mind when drawing your budget! - The photos are terrible. I mean it! Using the camera 2MP image your cell phone to take pictures! - Transfer files via USB connection is very slow. You will probably be better off buying an SD card reader.
Despite the few drawbacks is the Canon FS100 is a great camera with nice features. A 4.5 / 5 would be an appropriate salary, and not a set of 5 questions on because of the file transfer.
