I have a Panasonic VideoCam which hooks to a VCR with RCA jacks can I run it on my Sony DCR TRV-280 Hi-8 camcorder?
I have a Panasonic VideoCam which is basically a toy, B & W video camera that hooks up to a VCR with RCA connectors. Is it possible to connect it to my Sony DCR-TRV-280 Hi-8 camcorder so I can record video from Tyco to Sony for recording artsy .... video? Is it possible? What should I use?
Here is the manual for Sony TRV-280th The TRV-280 has analog AV-in. The only way this can happen is if Tyco video camera using a firewire connection (so you can connect the DV port on Tyco to DV port on TRV-280th If Tyco user only uses RCA (Composite AV) jacks for connecting to an external VCR or TV, video / audio transfer to TRV-280 is not possible. refer to page 60 in the manual. Note the flow direction of the arrow - AV vs. DV (with an i.LINK cable).
