I have a Hitachi DVD + HDD hybrid camcorder and I lost the CD that leaves my place videos and pictures on my computer the only drivers I can find is for Windows XP or earlier. if it helps the model # is DZHS300A

These camcorders differ from regular digital video cameras in one important way --
they record video on mini-DVD discs rather than DV tape. This has a number
benefits. DVD discs are more robust than tape and will not get chewed up in

However, there are negative factors. The most siginificant one is that video is
encoded as MPEG-2 on a mini DVD camcorder, as opposed to DV format. This
means that the specialized software for editing - you can not just use your regular
video editing program (unless it specifically supports MPEG-2). And if a Mac user
you're out of luck because there is MPEG-2 editing applications for Mac.
Also, mini DVD camcorders tend to cost more than similarly specified mini DV
cameras. And the media is also more expensive. But if you do not want
editing your movie and do not mind the extra cost, a mini DVD camcorder does not offer
extraordinary convenience.
