Jvc Hard Disk Camcorder Everio G
Can I transfer video or photo files from JVC hard drive camcorder to a portable hard drive (PHD) without PC?
I am thinking of going traveling for a couple of months ... The JVC hard drive camcorder is my goal, is a 30GB one which can only last me 14hrs of video below .. Source: http://www.jvc.com/presentations/everio_g/feat1.html So if I am going to go on vacation, as in several months or more .. It is defintely going to go further than 14hrs of video below .. I am thinking of getting a portable hard drive (PHD) with at least a 100GB and transfer videos to it when the video camera (30 GB) hard drive is full .. But if there is no PC in the vicinity, may transfer happen simply by plugging PHD & camcorder with a usb? If yes, how is the process like and what model and brand PHD I could explore? PS I'm looking for the most affordable, which is good .. Apart from that, any other suggestions on how I could save all the videos with the least amount of things to do with my vacation? PS I am in Singapore, so pls recommend something that I could find here. Thanks!
