Samsung Camcorder Lens Cap
I'm trying to film a project and my MiniDV camera is not showing a picture.?
It is a Samsung MiniDV camcorder and am trying to film a video with a friend. The camera is turned on fine, everything works fine, but when I try to film it looks as though the lens cap is still on. It is black. The display shows (in menu), just not in the picture. It is not work in a state, except when I'm an old tape. What can be wrong and how can I fix it? I have raised a few hours for a friend's house for this project and it will work tonight. Any help would be appreciated! Thank you! Oh, is the model SCD103.
There are a few possible problems here. One is a stuck shutter or iris. This can sometimes be fixed by turning on the camcorder and gently tapping the side of the lens.
