I am planning on buying a digital camcorder (video recording) in the next few months. I want something that is decent quality, but not so expensive that I would break the bank, or be sad if it got broken or lost. me and some friends will be taking road trips, and I want to document them. no idea where to start looking for cameras though. So if anyone knows of one, or places that I can look at descriptions and stuff that would be great. (Best buy and those places aren't really as descriptive as I would like).
One of the greatest challenges in working with today's smaller camcorders (with smaller chips) is getting a shallow depth of field for your shot. in my opinion, this is one of the major limitations of these cameras. since this is a well recognized problem, video professionals have come up with a variety of ways to handle this problem, which I will share here.
