How can I play video taken by Sony Mini DVD camcorder? I lost the video camera and can not play the recorded disc.?

I took videos using of a Sony mini DVD camcorder. I had the disks, but never converted them to other media. Now I have lost video camera (stolen actually), now it seems I can not play These mini-DVD discs with a DVD player (I have a Toshiba DVD player). I think those mini-DVD discs were on DVD + RW format and my Toshiba DVD player is supposed to play these disks. But I get a 'no disc' message when I insert a disc and try to play it. I need an "RF converter plug" for an older Sears VHS Video Camera / Recorder / Player. Where can I get one?

I own a Sears VHS video camera / camcorder / player. My RF converter adapter (model number is: VM RF50AS) recently broke. It plugs into the side of the camera, near the headphone jack. Definition of Modern Camcorder

The expression camcorder refers to portable electronic devices to be used for recording video and audio. This is done through of a built-in recorder unit. Most all camcorders containing large units. The first is a video camera and the second is a video recorder. It was a leap in technology, because at once these two entities were separated. First you will need to capture a VHS video to a computer video editing program using an analog-to-DVD converter. You would otherwise need to encode it to MPEG-2 format, then publish your DVD. This provides some flexibility to edit the video as you wish by adding transitions, music or special effects. One drawback is that it is time consuming.

You could also capture the video to your computer as an MPEG-2 using hardware capture devices that will convert VHS to MPEG-2, then author the DVD. Some inexpensive hardware analog-to-MPEG boxes offer good quality because the analog source video does not have to be converted to DV before it's encoded to MPEG.

Last, the fastest and easiest way to convert VHS to DVD is to connect your VHS VCR or camcorder to a standalone DVD recorder. However it is important to make sure your analog video is of the best quality possible because any flaws in the original video tape might be magnified when encoded to MPEG-2 and then converted to the DVD.

It takes very little time to copy VHS tape to DVD. If you are not the type to take on this kind of project yourself, a DVD authoring and production house will be happy to handle it for you by way of their own conversion and DVD authoring processes.

How can i capture video with orginal date and time stamp?

i have sony mini-dv dcr-hc38 camcorder. when i play the recorded video on tv from camcorder with av cable, the date & time are visible on tv-sceen. but, when i capture video to computer through firewire in avi format and play back, the date-time do not appear. camcorder settings are ok to record and trasfer date-time stamp.

If you have the option in the menu that you can select ON, it should show it. I find it distracting.

Article sites allow you to place a written article on virtually any subject within an article site.It could be a very serious political article or something trivial depending on the subject matter and author.The most widely recognised article sites are Ezine Articles/ArtilesBase/and Buzzle.However again there are hundreds of siteswhich you can find by doing a google search.There are also article distribution services such as SubmitYourArticle and uniquearticlewizard.These sites will often allow you to send the same article to many other sites.However there may be a charge for these services.

One of the greatest things about these sites ofcourse is they allow you to place a link to your website or landong page so you can get free traffic to your site.This ofcourse is one of the best ways to get free traffic.

Skype:-

I love Skype! Skype is a free download to pc or macintosh computers.You just need to buy a headset(headphones with a mouthpiece microphone attached),plug it into the headphone socket of your computer.Then if another person also has Skype you can talk to them like a telephone service for NOTHING on your computers via the internet.(so you must be connected to the internet for a call obviously).

However if someone does not have skype on the recieving end you will have ot buy credits up front to pay for the call,yet it is still cheaper than most calls to a landline within that country.

These are really useful systems which compress information to make it smaller and thus save space ultimately on your computer hard drive.There are many different types;WinZip/7Zip and many more.With many of these you can get a free trial (usually 30 days or more) before they ask you to buy the product.I personally use RAR which is a German produced file system and am very happy with it.One key factor is that whichever file compressor you use you nedd to use one which will be compatible with a few other different file formats.Some companies offer more compatibility than others.I paid about 30 dollars for my RAR file system and it works great with many different files types for me on a windows Vista.For example it allows me to compress 200 e-books which i now have on a cd-rom thanks to the compression possibility.

Try to make sure you have some basic programs installed on your computer such as ADobe Acrobat Reader which allows you to open and read PDF downloaded documents off the internet.For example most free e-book downloads/reports come as a pdf file for instant download so you should have this already.If you don't you can just go to the Adobe homepage and you should be able to download it for free.As for many programs a company will often offer a  trial version of a program for free.

More expensive programs such as Dreamweaver (advanced webdesign) will not be free though.I know a lot of people willl know this already however i am trying to keep the complete newbies in mind.

As for computer security/anti-virus software I would recommend Kaspersky.I used to use Norton for a while until i heard from a serious computer tecchie friend of mine that it's not the best.McAfee is good aswell.Just remember some computer stores may offer you free computer anti-virus software when you buy a pc from them,yet it will not neccessarily be the best,and do not neccessarily believe verything you are told in a shop!Sometimes staff may be a little naive themselves and/or just chasing a commission by selling something to you.It is good to test everything! Always ask questions,and as many as you like!

You can get free anti-virus software instantly downloaded from the net such as AVG:however as i said i would personally recommend Kaspersky: and don't forget if you are going to be plugged into the internet you must have a reliable anti-virus/firewall protection set up on your computer otherwise you are asking for trouble after a while.

Did you know that some sites have tracking cookies? A tracking cookie is when a company's site plants a small piece of text in your web browser.Some tracking cookies can have a life of 3 or 4 months,some longer.They allow a companyies website to track and analyze user data, i.e.how often someone might visit their site,and what they might buy.Cookies are neither maliscious or spyware,but they may slow down or affect a users web browser.

So when you have a program like Kaspersky,Norton 360 etc, do try to learn a little about what you can use,how to use it and the difference between switching some functions on and off.Another reason why i mention this is because sometimes you may not be able to visit/open a site webpage if certain security program settings are switched on. 

I would also definately recommend running atleast the quick scan function on your computer at the end or beginning of each day.Last week Sky News reported a bug on Twitter (the social networking site) and in other words this could have affected the computers of thousands of people.These are reasons for looking after your pc or mac.

Video Programs:-

At some stage if you decide to become a member of myinternetbusiness.com you may want to produce your own videos for YouTube for example.I am an experienced Final Cut Pro Video editor(as this used to be my profession).Years ago i used to hate computers,though it was only through video editing that i learnt to appreciate how useful they are.

The good news is you do not have to be clever,or experienced to make a semi-decent video for YouTube,yahoo.revver,or wherever you decide to publish to.All you need is either a good quality web-camera,a digital camcorder,or even a digital stills camera with an mpeg video capture card in it.Ofcourse if you use a webcamera you will need to be near your computer as the cables usually aren't very long.If you have a camcorder you can ofcourse record video outdoors and return to your computer for editing later.If you are using a mini-dv camcorder you will need either a firewire cable or an av cable.

I would use a firewire cable if appropriate to the equipment though because the quaility will be so much better.Remember pc and macintosh AND the cameras can have different connections and cable types.You may also need a video card in your computer if there's not one already.

If you have a macintosh computer,most come with the basic imovie( high definition) software,which actually is very very good for what it is.On a pc with windows you should get a very basic video editing program called windows movie maker.I don't use it but i do know that it can provide the basics of assemble editing.If you wish to become really good at video editing i recommend avid,finalcutpro,or adobe premiere.

However it will,if you are new to serious video editing,take you a while to get good at these programs if you are starting from scratch.As i said the imovie program on the mac is perfect for beginners.There are numerous other cheap video editing software tools out there if you don't want to spend that much money.You have adobe premiere elements/corel video studio pro x2/roxio creator 2009/ uleadvideostudio 11 plus.These are some of the cheapest which you may find in a store.

There are also great dvd making programs by Roxio,Nero,Sonic, and idvd for mac.If you want to get more serious with dvd creatiion on a macintosh there's dvd studio pro.Also remember that there are lots of great videos on YouTube which you can watch and learn how to use various programs.

Publishing a video to YouTube:-

When you feel happy wiath an edited video and want to upload it to say Youtube for example:first you will need to open up a free account with Youtube.You can only upload videos which are no longer than 10 mins and 1gigabyte in size.There are also recommended resloution sizes which are 640X480 and a frame rate generally of 30 frames per second to get the best results.

If you are new to all of this do not be freaked out! All you have to do is click on the help section in your web browser help page to find the exact results you are looking for to upload your video correctly.Most public video upload sites such as youtube are just recently cracking down on copyrighted music.It is not likely that you will be sued!However they may well remove your video abruptly if you use music which is obviously not your own!

Remember nearly every video site only allows a limit of ten minutes for a video and a lot of these sites have different file size requirements -so check these files first before exporting a file from a video program for the net!

When you are filling in a description of your video don't forget to add tags to it and tags which are relevant.This will help others to find your video more easily.

Jing:-

Jing is madly clever! You can download jing for free,it then places a bubble at the top or bottom of your computer screen (they call it a sun).If you move your mouse cursor onto the sun,3 rays snap out of it,each one with a different function:capture,history and more.Now if you click on capture a large cross hair appears on your desktop which you can then move around on your desktop screen.Jing is designed to allow you to capture video or an image form your desktop!The image will be exactly the same as it appears on your desktop except you can crop the image also.It is very very cool and clever.I believe Camstasia is the superseeded version of this product.I know a lot of webinars,and the best leaders in the internet marketing world use this to produce direct training videos off their pc screen to an audience.Such a simple yet brilliant idea.It also allows you after a capture to send your video or picture to someone else via email,the web or save to your hard drive.

Jeg elsker film, der er lavet som illustration, hver scene er mesterligt fotograferet til strålende sammensætning til at skabe aktionslinjer, symmetriske balance, med en fin udnyttelse af rummet, tekstur, farve og perspektiv. Her er to film, som jeg for nylig så igen, og skildrer vidunderlige visuelle sprog.

Så hvad fanden er en filmfotograf? Hvis du ønsker at komme ind semantik, betyder det 'at skrive i bevægelse. " Men deres job, først og fremmest, er at have kontrol over kameraet og belysning besætninger i en scene, og derfor har en masse kreative input til det endelige billede. Hvilke kvalifikationer har du studere på Bhartendu Academy of Dramatic Arts og Hvornår er du færdig? Jeg gik direkte fra gymnasiet til Bhartendu Academy of Dramatic Arts og har en 2 års Diplomuddannelse i Dramatic Arts, med hovedfag i Lys og eksamen i 1985. Kurserne køres anderledes nu. Det er køre mere som en film skole end en kunstskole, som jeg synes er fremragende! Det giver eleverne mulighed for at gøre tidligere beslutninger om deres foretrukne område inden for film & tv, det være sig en filmfotograf, instruktør, producent, redaktør osv. Det er også bedre forbereder de studerende til at arbejde i branchen. Det er undervisningen, så meget mere end bare hvordan man laver film. Hvad synes du om de faciliteter, du for nylig har set på Bhartendu Academy of Dramatic Arts (Bhartendu Natya Academy)?

Faciliteterne på Bhartendu Academy of Dramatic Arts er fantastisk; Jeg vil sige verdensklasse selv. Den største produktion studiet er meget veludstyret. Posten produktions-faciliteter såsom redigere suiter og en sund blanding værelser er ligesom, hvad der bliver anvendes i store dele af den indiske film-og tv-industri.

Jeg er også meget imponeret over produktionen værdien af de seneste studerende film på Bhartendu Academy of Dramatic Arts. Jeg tror, at kvaliteten af deres arbejde er ganske høj.

Jeg synes, det er fantastisk, at de studerende kommer til at skyde projekter Film er den internationale standard-format til spillefilm, samt de fleste oversøiske tv-drama. Det er sjældent, at de studerende får mulighed for at arbejde med film nu, at de digitale formater bliver mere og mere udbredt. Hvis du er i stand til at skyde og arbejde med film, så vil du være i stand til at arbejde i hvilket som helst format, som du kommer på tværs derude. Det virker ikke den anden vej rundt.

Hvad jeg mener med dette er, at den hovedforpligtede at lave film er de samme uanset hvilken format du skyder i. Men skyde film kræver en anden tilgang, både teknisk og kreativt. Disse principper kan anvendes til at skyde digitalt, men skyde film kræver en større forståelse af lygter og eksponering.

Det digitale udstyr på Bhartendu Academy of Dramatic Arts af en standard og kvalitet, som vil gøre det muligt for studerende at komme ud i erhvervslivet og forstå stort set arbejdet i et andet stykke udstyr, som de vil komme på tværs. Der er ingen grund til kvaliteten af de studerendes projekter kan ikke matche den høje kvalitet af faglige projekter, fordi det udstyr, de bruger, er den samme.

Jeg er også meget imponeret med produktionen værdien af den seneste studerende film på Bhartendu Academy of Dramatic Arts. Jeg tror, at kvaliteten af deres arbejde er ganske høj.

Hvad var den første pause eller job, der var nøglen til indstilling dig på din vej i din karriere?

Jeg har haft en række pauser jeg gætte og mange af dem bly på hinanden. En række lykkelige begivenheder, du måske sige, men hvis jeg skulle tænke på en særlig stor bryde det var en nat, da jeg lige var færdig med at redigere min nye filmvidenskab showreel. (En showreel er som en portefølje af arbejde, en skåret ned af mine bedste fotografering redigeret til musik.)

Netop som jeg var færdig, en e-mail kom igennem til mig, der blev sendt af nogen, at jeg knap nok vidste. Den email sagde, at en kenyansk produktionsselskab var på udkig efter en indisk filmfotograf at skyde en del af en international film, der var at skærmen på World Expo i Nairobi, Kenya og de ville se Showreels.

Jeg gik på posthuset næste morgen og sendt minen off eksprespostforsendelser. Jeg har modtaget telefonopkald kun dage senere bekræftede, at jeg fik jobbet. Jeg blev fløjet til Nairobi og jeg arbejdede sammen med en fuld professionel besætning på, hvad der var min første store opgave.

De mennesker, jeg mødte på, at projektet kunne lide mit arbejde så meget, at jeg fik et opkald, en måned senere, og de fløj mig Darussalam at skyde nogle reklamer. I sidste ende vendte tilbage til Indien med en ny og forbedret showreel. under det internationale arbejde på rulle rejste min profil yderligere og fik mig større og bedre job og en agent, og jeg var væk ...

Hvilke kvaliteter tror du, der er nødvendige for at gøre karriere i den kreative brancher?

Den kvalitet, som jeg beundrer i succesfulde kreative professionelle er evnen til at være stolte over deres eget arbejde. Uanset hvad dit kreative forfølgelse, jeg tror, at hvis du gør arbejde, at du virkelig nyder, og at du sætter en ære i, så er du er så heldig at have en af de bedste job i verden.

Jeg tror også, at udfordrende sig selv ved at arbejde uden for din komfort zone er vigtigt, og indse, at for at lykkes du er nødt til at være konsekvente, positiv og arbejder virkelig hårdt.

Uanset hvilken kreative område du er i, er det igangværende at blive en hård hestearbejde at få din karriere i gang. Med kreative karriere De er bedømt på din krop af arbejde og dit track record. Den første ting man skal gøre er at skabe en portefølje, eller i mit tilfælde en showreel, og derefter forberede dig til kritik og banke rygge, aldrig at give op og bruge dem banke ryggen som incitament til at arbejde hårdere og sæt dit højere standarder.

Jeg synes også, det er vigtigt at gøre 'lidenskab projekter «, at giver dig mulighed for at eksperimentere med ideer eller yderligere din oplevelse. Af passion projekter, mener jeg dem, at du gør af kærlighed til det og ikke betale. Jeg skød en masse "freebies" for at få min showreel op til bunden, og for at få erfaring, før jeg begyndte at få betalt for min kunst.

Ligeledes er det vigtigt at arbejde på dit netværk af kontakter. Du kan aldrig vide når denne person kan du betragte som en konkurrent, kan det faktisk være en til at videregive noget af det arbejde din vej eller introducere dig til nye samarbejdspartnere. Filmindustrien er for lille til at gøre fjender. Vi bør være som en støtte netværk og lære af hinanden for hele tiden at gøre bedre projekter.

For dig, hvad er "must see" benchmark film i form af enten udestående eller banebrydende Fotografering?

Godt for startere i filmvidenskab på den seneste indiske spillefilm Kalpvriksh - The Wish Tree - Med venlig Dreams er kun et tryk væk, og snart skal frigives Carry on Pandu er ganske fremragende. Ha!

Nej, seriøst, nogle af mine foretrukne og mest indflydelsesrige film i form af filmproduktion er ikke dem med den store kran skud eller verdens længste steadicam skud, men dem, der skaber en virkelig stemning og atmosfære. film, der formidler følelser for et publikum og bidrage til at kommunikere undertoner af en historien ved at sige mere om de tegn, end dialog alene nogensinde kunne.

Jeg tror, det mest indflydelsesrige film for mig ville være noget, instrueret af Satyajit Ray (Aparajito (The Unvanquished), Parash Pathar (The Philosopher's Stone), Jalsaghar (The Music Room) for hans brug af stemning, atmosfære og filmiske teknikker til storytelling.

Også, klassikere som Pather Panchali (Song of the Road). Det tog mig et stykke tid at indse, hvorfor det anses for den bedste film nogensinde lavet. Brugen af dybe fokus i denne film er ikke kun et teknisk resultat, men også en historiefortælling en.

Jeg er også virkelig godt lide Shakha Proshakha (grene på et træ), Agantuk. De er begge meget ru og håndholdte til tider, men meget smuk og du virkelig følte som om du var "inde" i filmen.

Q: Hvad er din stillingsbetegnelse? Hvor er du ansat?

A: Director's kameramand, direktør for fotografering. Jeg har mit eget firma, Rajiv Jain Films, filmvidenskab og greb, og jeg har gjort det i omkring femogtyve år.

Q: Hvor længe har du været en filmfotograf?

A: Jeg har gjort det i flere år, men jeg startede min egen virksomhed på omkring 2005.

Q: Hvilken type uddannelse har du er nødt til at blive en filmfotograf?

A: Jeg gik til Bhartendu Academy of Dramatic Arts. Jeg havde en to-årig diplom eksamen i teater kunst. At sætte mig i stand til at se, hvordan industrien har ændret sig meget. Kommer ud af college, skal børnene bare starte deres egen virksomhed. For det første skal de beslutte, hvad de vil gøre i industrien og derefter gå til det. Kun fantasien sætter grænsen afhængigt af karrierevej, du vælger.

Q: Hvad kan du bedst lide ved dit job?

A: Working for mig selv. Have frihed til at træffe dine egne beslutninger, for at gøre din egen vej om, hvad du vil gøre. Men du kan gå en måned uden arbejde, hvis du er på din egne, så afgjort sætte dig selv på en virksomhed kanal samt en kreativ vej. Tag virksomheder klasser, ikke bare frie kunster. Filmindustrien er en forretning, ligesom musikindustrien. Du har at være en selv-starteren.

Q: Beskriv dine typisk dag på jobbet.

Sv: Hvilket job? Normalt når jeg er ikke i orden, jeg er i mit kontor laver papirarbejde. Fra dit kontor, kan du nødt til at gå et sted på stedet, og som kan være alt fra to dage til tredive dage. Mange af vores ting er fjernbetjening steder. Hver opgave er unik. Så snart du tror det er typisk, det ændrer sig.

Q: Hvad karriere var du i før han bliver en filmfotograf? Føler du, at det hjalp dig klar til at blive en massage terapeut?

A: Jeg lavede teater, foto-journalistik, der arbejder på en lokal kanal og gør en anstændig erhvervsevne. Jeg befandt mig inkorporerer afgørende for mine ord, og da jeg begyndte at tage billeder og filme, jeg forstod det var det, jeg mest brænder for. Q: Ville du sige det er afgørende at have en college uddannelse til en karriere som denne?

A: Jeg tror ikke, det er absolut nødvendigt, men hvad jeg fik ud af kollegiet er jeg netbaseret en masse. Jeg tror ikke, det er hundrede procent nødvendig. Men selvfølgelig skal du have en god skole for at lære dig, hvad du har brug for. Når du er på college, skal du begynde at arbejde på at opbygge en portefølje og skole kan hjælpe med dette. Hvis to personer gik for det samme arbejde, og de begge havde upåklagelig porteføljer, men man også foretaget en fireårig grad, kan du vædde på, at personens vil lande jobbet. At være i branchen på fuld tid, ikke kun freelance, betyder det er vigtigt at få denne grad.

Q: Vil du anbefale denne karriere til en anden?

A: Ja. Jeg kan ikke forestille mig noget bedre at gøre. Jeg ser ting, som folk ikke kan se. Er det for alle? Jeg tror det ikke. Du skal have tyk hud. Du er nødt til at arbejde i månedsvis. Sæt ikke forventningerne for højt. Vær realistisk. Min første anbefaling ville være at gå på college og få at fuldtidsjob. Få en fornemmelse for, hvad industrien handler om. Det er svært at bare have en god portefølje, medmindre du er en fantastisk filmfotograf. Doing det uden at kollegiet er ekstremt svært at gøre.

Q: Hvad er dit næste karriereskift, hvis nogen?

A: Retire og gå landsby. Nej, men seriøst, jeg skal gøre flere projekter. Jeg vil have fuld kontrol over min fremtidige projekter.

Kalpvriksh - The Wish Tree - Med venlig Dreams er bare en Touch Away - Rajiv Jain Filmfotograf

To-tiden vinder indiske Filmfotograf Rajiv Jain ICS WICA skaber særlige verden af lys, skygger i hans seneste film Kalpvriksh den Wish Tree venlig Dreams er bare en Touch Away

Rajiv Jain har en måde at se, som tager et billede til sine ydre grænser. I sine år som assistent, elektriker, greb, og i de sidste 16 år som direktør for fotografering, har han udviklet en visuel følsomhed og ekspertise.

Rajiv tager sin inspiration fra instruktører som Satyajit Ray (Pather Panchali) og filmfotografer Ashok Mehta, ISC (36 Chowrangi Lane) og Binod Pradhan (Parinda) for deres brug af farver og lys og skygge til at forstærke de følelsesmæssige indhold af historier. Jeg synes, at evnen til at give karakterer til at operere i skygge, er en kunst, siger han. Ashok Mehta giver sine karakterer til at fungere i mørke. Han lyser alt, så de sorte er virkelig rig - men du kan se alt.

Hans arbejde i Kalpvriksh, en film af instruktøren Manika Sharma udstråler en periode kvalitet med en kant. Rajiv var især fascineret af den ikke-fortælling, fragmenteret skrift, fordi det tilbudt et utal af visuelle muligheder. Shooting primært på Kodak at give kontrast til udendørs scener, Rajiv eksperimenterede med varme og blå filtre for at få det at se, han ønskede. Resultatet er en kraftig, næsten surrealistisk rejse ind i sind og handlinger i filmens bizarre karakterer.

Up-front samarbejde om en film er af afgørende betydning, Rajiv understreger.

Det er vigtigt for mig at gå igennem scriptet scene for scene med instruktøren Manika Sharma, Rajiv siger, at forsøge at se, hvad der er i hendes sind. Jeg vil gerne vide, hvad motivet er at sige, hvem det vigtigste tegn er på dette tidspunkt, og hvordan karaktererne bevæger sig gennem scene. Vi har også aksjer fotografier og film, hvilket giver os et visuelt base at arbejde ud fra.

En afgangselev fra Bhartendu Academy of Dramatic Arts i Drama og en begyndelse stadig fotografering, Rajiv tog et kursus i filmproduktion. Fascineret af filmmediet, så han mulighederne for at kombinere sine interesser med film i reklamer. Søgning efter en måde at lære kameraarbejde, han tilbød sin assistance (ubetalte) til kameramanden Subroto Mitra at lære det håndværk.

Han lærte mig om hans SR-pakke, hvad linser var, og hvordan du lægger magasiner, sagde han. Så begyndte han mig ved at arbejde på Shyam Benegal's dokumentar om Nehru.

I 1996 fik Rajiv den første mulighed for at skyde en film, hær, med Mukul Anand. Efter otte ugers stressende skydning - alle hans træk blev overvåget.

Efter 6 flere funktioner, kom derefter Kalpvriksh i 2007, kunne Rajiv at udforske en ny visuel teknik til at tilføje nuancere historien. Filmen omfatter en drømmeagtig rejse, Rajiv ønskede at give en drømmeagtig kvalitet. Vi testede filtre og blegemiddel bypass proces til at give denne del af filmen sit eget specielle udseende, "siger han." I stedet besluttede vi at bruge en gynge tilt, et kamera vedhæftet fil, som gør det muligt for virksomheden at skifte fly i fokus. Det lad os kaste forskellige dele af rammen ude af fokus, hvilket er vanskeligt at gøre i en lang skud på grund af øget dybdeskarphed.

Som enhver anden kunstner, Rajiv blev født med medfødte talent tilslides af erfaring og kulturel indflydelse. Født i 1968, hans første introduktion til Movie Magic kom under iagttagelse af sin onkel som projectionist på Ravindralaya Teater, Lucknow. "Jeg husker, sad i det lille fremspring værelse og se film med min onkel," den indiske filmfotografen minder. "Det var som at se tavs film, fordi du ikke kunne høre lyd i kabinen. Jeg har lige set billederne, og ville forsøge at forstå historien. Min onkel ville vise os, Charlie Chaplin-film, hvilket naturligvis var tavse. Der er ingen tvivl om, at han satte sin drøm om at blive en filmfotograf i mit hjerte. "Oprindeligt fra Indien, filmfotograf Rajiv Jain ICS WICA studerede ved Bhartendu Academy of Dramatic Arts i Lucknow, Indien.

Dagen efter at have afsluttet sine studier, Rajiv gik til sit arbejde som praktikant på en anamorphic billede. Han bidrog til ti flere film som assistent kameramand, før han bliver en DOP. "Fra det øjeblik jeg fandt kameraet til at være som en pen, som du bruger til at tegne billeder," siger han. "Operating et kamera er hovedsagelig om komposition og rytme. Jeg er også drives kameraet til Bollywood sange. Det var meget primitivt. Mens vi skød, var en person med et ur timing hver panorering og zoom. High Definition Camcorders vs. Mini DV cams?

Well I am glad to buy a new camcorder. The one I have now is a Sony mini DV and it is around 8 years old, and I want to upgrade. I've looked at high definition camcorders, but are not sure whether I should buy one. I have a newer Mac computer and I love to edit videos and put them on DVD. Will my Mac G5 is about 2 years old, be able to handle HD stuff and burn it on a DVD? Or should I just keep with the Mini DV's? See I have an HDTV, but my parents do not, and they like to see things I burn onto DVD's, so there is going to cause a problem? Thank you, I could use some advice.

Hello I am 15 and I want to make films, so we are kinda in the same boat. But I have a Canon GL2 (SD), which is a good camera, but obviously not HD. If I were you, I'd keep with SD for now. Any camera you get now will be a lot cheaper in a year or so (my GL2's MSRP was $ 2700, I got it for $ 1500), and the time Blu-Ray/HD-DVD drives / players will be cheaper too. If you have HD now, there will be a way for you to see the videos, unless you see them on your computer (processor intensive), or attach the camcorder to your TV. You can buy an HD disc drive and play, but it will cost hundreds dollars to over a thousand dollars.
