free SD card recovery?

Hey I'm a fourteen year old girl who took 75 pictures (JPG files) and videos (AVI) on my camcorder. But... I was stupid enough to somehow corrupt the disk and lose some of the precious memories I took. I REALLY REALLY want the files back, but I've looked at so many on the internet and they range from 39.00 to 69.00. I don't that much so I'm looking for either a relatively low priced 30.00 or less.

Hello. Also I am glad to have a camcorder, and has done a lot of research lately. Panasonic comes out with a really good 3CCD cam DVD next month (VDR-D310) which records to dual layer discs. This means you can put 30 or so minutes of the best quality video on a dual layer mini DVD. If you purchased a standard DVD camcorder that records in the usual mini-DVD's, you will only get around 18 minute high quality video. It did not quite double, but 30-35 minutes is better than 18! I shoule mention, however, that mini-DVD's are more expensive than the mini DV tape. There is also a hard drive cams which can accommodate around 7 hours of best quality video, depending on the size of your hard disk. Some say that the quality is not as good as mini DV, but others say that regular people like you and me, we will not notice the difference. You can record your footage right to a DVD when it is connected to a DVD burner. But if you plan to do something about editing of your video due to compression of going back and forth from camera to computer to DVD, you will lose some quality in the video, so it is best you go with a Mini DR. They also can record right to a DVD burner. As far as cost, there are so many different Web stores out there that is not including eBay, just so I would just search around. DVD: DVD is growing in popularity, and invokes a greater share of the market, since it was introduced in mid 2001. The main advantage of DVD camcorders is convenience. Record your footage on the disc, remove it and play it on your DVD player without cables or connectors.

DVD camcorders use 8 cm discs in a variety of recordable formats. DVD-R is a single using the disc compatible with all DVD players and used by all camera manufacturers. DVD-RAM is a rewritable disc, which offers in-camera editing and supported by Hitachi and Panasonic. DVD-/ + RW is a second rewriteable format and is supported by Sony.

Originally there were disc compatibility issues with DVD players, but most DVD players will now play a variety of discs and some camcorders offer multi-format capability to make them more flexible.

Handycam will not work with Mac?

Ok, here's the deal. I have a MacBook (which is less than a year old) and a Sony Digital 8 Handycam (the is at least 5 years old and still uses a tape for storage, but it has USB streaming). iMovie will not capture the video. My computer will not even recognize the camera as a external device when I plug it into the USB port. Is there anything I can do or is my camcorder to date?

It may require FIREWIRE like Mini DV to be recognized.

How do I get video's from my computer onto a CD ... which can then be played in Britain and Canada??

I have some video's from my camcorder (Sony DCR DVD106E) has small 8cm DVD-RWs, which I then put in on my PC ... I now want to put thm on a normal 12cm CD, so they played on DVD players in England and Canada ... has anyone got any idea how to do this? Please help!

What is the best to use for making a video to DVD?

We have to make a 2 minute (min.) video of the class. Now, here is my problem ... Last time we had a video project, it went fine, but getting it into your computer for editing and burning to DVD took forever to make. Finally we got it, only by going to my mum's work office. Even then it took a really long time and was complicated. What is the best to use? If I use a digital camera (not camcorder) to take the video, it would certainly be simpler, but it will work on a TV - where it is burned to a DVD? Part 2 questions ... if I wanted to test my camera type with this, and I only have Movie Maker (my dad is better programs, but he is not here) and no DVD burner, I can still do it?

user camera sounds easier, but a video camera will give you the best picture. a camera isn't good to take video and it will even be worse when you put it on DVD. it'll probalby stretch it a lot. using video camera and use a FireWire cable up to upload it. I do not recommend, Movie Maker, as the software that you think should be to keep the video on your computer (and thus make it smaller). it will be very ugly if you put it on DVD. use peak or somethign like that. thing is, you will probably need to get a software if you want a good picture. again, only two minutes. video, so you might not want to buy a $ 60 + software. using the FireWire cable ensures your computer recognizes the device. when Using USB, a lot of software that do recognize and support the camcorder will not let you upload. good luck

I took a video with my camcorder which enables video on a DVD-Ram. I now want to get still images out of this video and I do not know how. Is there anyone out there who can give me step by step instructions to do this? Or any ideas at all. Thank you

Go try the shop, I did try in stock, and I was not impressive, I think it performs worse than the Canon, Sony, Sanyo and even JVC. Is kinda hard to control and the resolution is a bit low, I recommed you either get a good value or VH1 Sanyo HD2000 or spend 1k for a very good package Sony HD camcorder, which offers nearly vision, high-def LCD, geo tag, better photos and video, I think sony to do almost everything you can ask for, nothing second video camera can do almost inflaed which easily shoot at night need not nigh goggle! As for photographic evidence of the camcorder, JVC is the best in its class, it shoots image so quickly to surprise mee, I was shocked it faster than most point and shoot I know. video quality is medi-core but boy is affortable. I am sure Panasonic has not given you a good video quality, but I think a little more for high def lcd is important, so you know what is the quality you shoot on the LCD instead of waiting for TV view. I hate when I see something I like in lcd, but proves far worse in the big screen. Your Mac should handle fine.

Problems getting data from a mini DV tape?

I recorded some footage in the studio of my local cable access channel. When I took mini DV tapes home the data were somewhat scrambled eggs when I tried to put it on my laptop via my personal camcorder. I think it is because the tape recorded in LP mode, and apparently Canon ZR500 handles LP mode is not good. So I went back to the studio to take the data from the tape using their equipment, and for any reason by their equipment would not recognize the tape. I was able to access data from other bands using their equipment, so I know I was using it correctly. i am not sure what to do now, but I wonder if there are companies that are out there who know how to extract data possibly corrupted tapes. Any advice? I'm stuck and I need the recordings on this tape. Thank you.

You talk about a ZR500 and a "personal camcorder" -- they are the same? If not, this is probably where your problem lies - MiniDV standard, but not when using LP mode. You have to use the same model of video camera.

As long as you are sure your camera supports DVD-RAM and disk can be removed from the cartridge without damage, it should work with no problem. I have not confirmed this myself.
