I have a JVC Everio hard drive camcorder. I uploaded the Digital Photo Navigator, but how can I upload the pictures?

I have a JVC Everio HDD camera / camcorder. it can take videos & pictures in high def. I've uploaded the whole Digital Photo Navigator disk it came with, but I have no idea how to upload images in a folder or something. HEEELLLLLLLLLPPPPPPPPP

I think you have to set the camera Photo before connecting to your computer. Then use Digital Photo Navigator program To access the images.

What camcorder should I buy?

I have a Canon ZR200 camera. It has a resolution of 640x480. It uses bands. I do not think the video quality 'm good at it. Should I get an HD camcorder or is there a better standard one (or something in between)? The only problem I have with an HD one is the amount space, it will take up, and I will not be able to edit it on my laptop. (2.0 GHz, 4 GB RAM, 320 GB hard drive, NVidia 9600 512MB graphics card.) Another problem with my old camera was the sound quality. Is there a camera with better sound quality, or should I look for one with a microphone port? I want a price below $ 1000 or $ 800, if possible. It would just be a camera for recreational purposes. What camcorder should I buy?

Recommend Canon VIXIA HF200 HD Flash Memory Camcorder is such a great camcorder and I love it! I've seen some bad reviews about this camera and I just do not know why! This Canon HF 200 is so easy to use, even when the light is low, do not have the same quality of HD, as it does in the course of sunlight, but I've made videos of the night and I am impressed with the quality! In a lot of lighting or a very sunny day this camcorder makes its HD at its best and the video quality and the colors are amazing! A lot of people say they have trouble connecting the camcorder to XP and Vista, I have both versions and I have no problems whatsoever. Yes the software that does not come with this camcorder is just not worth a darn to use at all. The software included with this is called "PIXELA" I only use this software just to get into my computer .. that's it! When it comes to video editing, what I use is Corel Video Studio Pro X2 working on XP and Vista and works so well that I can not believe the videos I put out! As for memory cards in use SANDISK 4GD memory cards which MXP I can get up to 20 minutes HD recording. When you buy a 16 GB card, you can get up to one hour HD footage. Battery life is great on this camcorder also, as it will last up to two hours, I just bought myself an extra, but I use this as my main battery and the lats to 3 hours and 15 minutes. To all the people who gave bad reviews about this camcorder and complain how they have problems connecting to Vista to advise you all to know what your computer can handle, and you have enough disk space and RAM memory also if this camcorder does not work on your computer .. do not blame video camera and make sure you have enough memory! I've learned to not take what these people say the bad reviews, because most of them are not computer savvy and do not know anything about computers! Learn about your computer first before you put something bad reviews about this camcorder! This is the best HD camcorder to buy for the money, and I just love it. Which HD Flip video camera should I buy?

Recently I have been looking into buying an HD camera to shoot videos with my friends. I saw that "Ultra HD Flip" camcorder was on sale for 179.99 at shopko and was considering buying it. I then looked into it and found that they have a newer, which is "Flip Mino HD" camcorder. What is the difference between the two? Miño is newer and is going to like 220.00. The reason I ask is because this is only a temporay camera. Finally, I would like to have Canon HF20, but right now it is very expensive. My video camera was outdated, so I finally decided to check out what I had heard so much about. I looked on the Internet and did some other research institutions to ensure that I had found the best. The experience dictates that it is always best to arm your self with information before you hear a sales pitch in the shop. The review, which I found on the VIXIA HF S100 was very helpful. But the cynic that I am, I might see myself.

Of course I was blown away by the quality of the Canon Vixia HF S100. I try other camcorders, but it is far superior to them all. The things I liked most is that it is a very strong camcorder has sophisticated features and can also be used as a camera. Now I do not carry a camera and a camcorder with me. I have everything I need in one piece of equipment.

Video camera takes very crisp film in HD can be recorded directly onto a SDHC card. This feature makes video camera is very versatile and easy to use. All functions can be controlled via the LCD menu. What's even better is that you may be technologically challenged and still take movies like a pro. There are many automatic settings so you can take great movie without having any prior experience working a video camera.

You have to use flip-out screen. This seems to be a minor problem compared to the benefits of the camera.

Memory Stick Questions w / Sony DCR-SR42 camcorder?

I love my video camera to death, and the memory is infinite, but I needed a memory card separate from my personal images to create a project. I swear I found the right memory card (memory stick pro duo) and I'm sure it can keep videos, but when I try to upload videos to the card, there is never an option, lets me do it. I can upload pictures but it is not the problem. Is it possible or am I just crazy? XD

According to the video camera manual (manual): http://www.docs.sony.com/release/DCRSR42_Handbook_GB.pdf Page 24 says: "You can record movies on hard drive camcorder. "It also says - under" Recording still pictures "section, you can record still images to your hard disk or memory stick. There is nothing on this page indicates that you can record or copy movie from hard drive to memory stick. Page 26 and 27 tell you haw to record video to hard disk and has the memory stick capture still images while video is captured - to the hard disk. Actually the entire manual, there are plenty of references to memory stick, which only stills and stills from the hard disk can be transferred to memory stick - and even if not specifically that you can not upload video on the memory card that you've tried and options not present itself tells me that this camcorder cannoto it - and you're not crazy.

Buy an HD camcorder - any specific computer specs needed?

(The latest in my series of camera positions ...) So I have decided either a Canon HV30 or Canon FS100 ... Just wavering back and forth on the tape vs. disk. I'm buying a quad core PC computer with a 1TB hard drive and 4G RAM. Is there anything else I need ask specificially - any hardware considerations, connection sockets, etc. - that my camera will be needed? I will be editing in Sony Vegas and then upload to the Internet. I just do not want to have a computer built to find out that I am missing one important part.

you need at least a 512 mb graphics card 2: a hard drive external firewire maybe port, I think you should be fine to just make sure its all compatible with each other. oh and I think that tape would make more sense for a beginner like my research to disk editing and retention issues are on the negative side of things.and also HDV format on tape is a better quality picture then hard drive hd. Thats not an opinion either. Good luck

Around two months ago I got a brand new Sanyo Xacti from amazon this one::: http://www.amazon.com/Sanyo-VPC-CG10-Memory-Camcorder-Optical/dp/B001Q3M986/ref=sr_1_10?ie = UTF8 & s = photo & QID = 1263059573 & sr = 1-10 the problem is with the lens cap when you put it on it's hard to get time, but today I went to take it out and the entire front of the camera came apart and will not click back together, it looks like you can push it back together if you hold the upper while you do it, but when I do it just comes back apart, has anyone ever had this problem? Have sanyo offer to help? Im not sure where must get help from them.

I would contact Panasonic at 818-998-7322 and see if there is any thing they can do. If there is no guarantee, hopefully you covered.

compare video camera definition?

I'm going to buy a cheapish camera, and I wonder how something like oldish 3CCD Panasonic VDR-D300 like to compare against the newer budget HD camcorders with only a single CCD imager, but much higher resolution. I will be editing down to sd and mastering DVD. but the camera will give the best results in color reproduction, especially with flesh tones? or will there be something in it?

All consumer video formats are optimized for single CCD cameras just are. Using 3 CCD will not improve either the resolution or color gamut capability. But the 3 CCD cameras perform better in high contrast situations them easier to create shots that avoid color bleaching. If you produce DVDs then miniDV is the best source format. HD sounds good until you realize that it requires super high compression as in 100 or 200:1 while miniDV only 6:1. If you knew how this compression was done, you would not be so impressed with HD quality. The optimum CCD size for NTSC and PAL are 680K is 800k to produce 16:9 widescreen at native resolution. I want to buy an HD digital video camera that I would be able to make a decent indie flick with?

The problem is im pretty strapped for cash at the camera side, I can take out loans, but was hopeing that now there may be a kind of camera mabey 2,000 or less, I have found many nice cameras up to 3500 and also it must be able to incorporate stereo sound as these cameras are also internal Canon XH G1 and Sony Professional HVR-Z1U 3CCD possibly mabey a camera mimicking those from 5 or 6 years ago? Hard mabey? im in film classes already mostly work with production and news production, but still want to look for my own creative outlet, but I can give some of the equipment that normally work with $ 30,000 cameras n stuff way to much and I have Final Cut, Studio 2 package, and a school full of high-end computers

I think you want honest answers, and I hope you do! What do you know about making movies, you have no experience with makeing movies / videos (not to mention family-type) that working with sound, light, scripts. filming scenes are just the tip of the iceberg. there is so much more. It will be a total waste of money to buy an advanced camera if you do not know the basics. Even a decent semi-pro camera man will produce 100% better film on an inexpensive basic camera than someone with a top of the range of professional camera who does not understand video basics. You may be beter off spending your hard earned money on courses learning trade. thats just record what part of editing? and the necessary equipment to produce the kind of video. I hope you have an advanced computer, or you will need to spend at least the same amount on a computer to handle the video, especially if a HDD camcorder. Please dont think I have a go at you, but there are just so much more to create an indie flick than pointing a camera. If you have a some experience in this type of media, so you must be out there looking for sponsors, talking to banks, companies suffer, even the film industry. Hope thats some food for thought. I'm thinking of buying a new digital camera. I have one but it's too old, so I need a new one.

Buying an HD Cam putting videos on YouTube would be an extreme overkill. Just get the cheapest DV cam $ 200 - $ 400 and start with it. Youtube video is a very compressed 320x240. A "youtube" cam would probably have very poor sound and to use the video you busy for anything other than youtube would be very un-presentable. A mini-DV cam is a good price, and in addition to 4x3 broadcast standards (with the time compressed television signal reaches your home) No sense to buy a machine gun to kill golphers. Although it would be funner this way. If you have money to burn as an HD cam would be great to have, but very unfair to your proposed use. My youth group is going on a missions trip this summer and I need a camcorder to document it.
I need to be able to:
Shoot scenery with decent DOF
Shoot people running around
Handhold as well as use on a tripod and monopod
I would prefer a tape-based camera, but I'll have a computer and 1TB of space, so a disk based or flash based camera would be fine too.
HD is not necessary, but it'd sure be nice.
Finally, I may sell the camera at the end of the summer, so I'd want something that's been on the market long enough that I wouldn't loose a bunch of money in the deal.

Camcorder Recordings - another question about downloading OTHER THAN on DVD?

I want to save all my camcorder footage. I have already saved on DVD, but would like a backup, just in a smaller storage medium. ie SD memory card or the like. My camcorder is the new version of Sony - Handycam DCR-SX30E. I have found that after burning to DVD, I wish to add to the DVD (with DVD-RW), so it will not let me add additional recordings without erasing what already on DVD.
