how to 8cm DVD disc - lost disc that came with your camcorder?

Help. Have a handyman Sony camcorder. I would now like to turn my disks a film (put on a DVD) but I'm the supplied application software to do it. I think it was Nero Express, it came with. Is there anything I can download free?

Sony DSR-PD170P Camcorder - Software and Firewire question?

I have two questions abut the Sony DSR-PD170P Camera.

The DSR-PD170P does not come with any software program (page 9, user's manual).

Open Vegas.
Connect camera with FireWire cable.
Turn on camera in Play mode, Playback.
You should hear that 'burlp' sound from your computer, same sound you hear when you connect something to the USB port, like an iPod, etc. If not, pull cable out and stick it back in. Try both the camera port and computer port. Sometimes the connections can be a little loose.

If Vegas doesn't 'find' the camera (device), from the capture camera choices, try choosing another camera. You might have to use a generic one. That is okay as long as it works. It just means Vegas didn't include your particular camera model in their list. You might see Sony DSR-PD170 (without P, PAL) listed.

Downloaded camcorder drivers, but computer won't recognize?

I went to Panasonic website to d/l the latest drivers for my digital camcorder. It acted as though it downloaded, I ran the program, asked to restart computer, etc. When I restarted and connected the camcorder via USB, it stated that it could not find software necessary for the camera?? What could be causing this? We've tried this now on 2 different computers.

When you download the drivers put them in a special folder like c:\camcorder and then plug in the camcorder. It should ask if you want to install automatically or if you want to select the driver to install. Tell it you want to select the driver to install. Select the location with the "Browse" button. Point it to C:\camcorder and it should find the drivers you downloaded. Note: You may need to unzip the drivers after downloading. Be sure you unzip them to c:\camcorder and if the file that downloads is an .exe file you will run it instead of doing the steps I described.

How can i capture video with orginal date and time stamp?

i have sony mini-dv dcr-hc38 camcorder. when i play the recorded video on tv from camcorder with av cable, the date & time are visible on tv-sceen. but, when i capture video to computer through firewire in avi format and play back, the date-time do not appear. camcorder settings are ok to record and trasfer date-time stamp.

If you have the option in the menu that you can select ON, it should show it. I find it distracting.

I want to try to make a film to to be projected onto a large screen for a local fringe Filmfest. There is no text, just music overlay. I am quite new here so do not laugh. I have used my flip video For Web and DVDs with success but not sure that works for projecting on a large screen. The application does not mention the 35 mm so I assume that a DVD is fine, but what is the cheapest type of video camera I could use for this because I really have no money. Ps.
